Banana Sharkara Upperi|Sharkara Varatti || Jaggery coated banana chips | Recipe

INGRADIENTS

1: Raw plantin 3 nos
2: jaggery 300g
3: cumin seeds 1 tbsp
4: cardamon 5 nos
5: dry ginger powder 2& 1/4 tbsp
6: sugar 1/2 cup
7: water 1/2 cup
8: coconut oil

METHOD

1: Peel the raw plantin and cut into small pieces ( 1/2 inch thickness),soak them in turmeric water for 1/2 hour ,then scrub and wash well ,after that drain compleately.
2: In a mixer grinder add dry ginger powder,sugar,cardamom and cumin seeds ,make it as a powder and keep aside.
3: Heat oil in a kadai and fry these pieces in medium flame until the banana become crispy ,then keep aside.
4: Melt jaggery by adding 1/2 cup water and strain it .
5: Heat a kadai then add jaggery syrup and 2 tbsp powder mixture ,mix well.
6: Add fried banana and slowly add powder mixture and mix well after that switch off the flame .
6: Rest for 10 to 15 minutes then mix gently ..
7: Now our sarkkaravaratti is ready to serve..
