Readymade Rice Ada – 125 gram / 1 cup
Boiled water – 2 to 3 cups
Full cream Milk – 1 to 1 1/2 litre milk
Sugar – 1 to 1 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Split Cashew nuts – 20 nos
Raisins – 20 nos
Salt – A pinch
Ghee -1 tsp


sock rice ada in 3 cups of warm water for 10 to 15 minutes.after rinse 2 to 3 times in cold water . Drain and keep it aside.

In a cooker add 1 litre of milk and make the flame into medium.When the milk starts to boil
add 1 1/2 cup of sugar and stir well till it get dissolve completely.

Now add the cooked ada and mix well.
close the cooker without the whistle and cook it over in a low to medium flame.When the steam
starts coming out place the weight or pressure regulator.Cook it for 20 to 25 minutes in a low flame and turn off the flame.

When the pressure comes down ,open the lid and check the payasam .If it is watery cook it
for extra 10 minutes without lid.

Now add 1 tsp of cardamom powder and a pinch of salt and mix well.same time check the sugar and add if needed.

In a small pan heat 1 tbsp of ghee and fry some cashews and raisins.Add this fried items
into the palada payasam and mix it.Our easy and tasty payasam is ready to serve.You can serve it warm or cold.
