1:Ripe Jackfruit flesh-1/2 bowl
3:Second coconut milk-2 1/2 cup
4:first coconut milk-1cup
5:A pinch of salt
7:Cashew nuts-7 nos
14:Vanilla essence-1tsp optional
Wash the Ripe Jackfruit flesh,Remove the seeds.
Melt the jaggery with half cup water and strain.
●Heat a pan add Jackfruit flesh then add one cup of the second coconut milk on medium flame or until soft.Cool down and grind to a fine paste and set aside.
●Heat 1 tbsp ghee in the same pan,add Jackfruit paste,and the remaining second coconut milk and stir continuously till the mixture thickens.
●Add jaggery syrup,cardamom,and a pinch of salt,mix it well and stir continuously till the mixture thickens.
●And Finally add the first coconut milk and cook for couple of minutes and switch off the flame(adding first coconut milk no need boil the payasam).
●Then add the half tbsp of the milkmaid, vanilla essence (optional) mix well 3-4 minutes.
●Heat 1tbsp ghee in a pan fry coconut pieces, Cashew nuts, Raisins and add this to the payasam.
●Easy and tasty chakka payasam/Jackfruit payasam ready to serve.
●Garnish the Jackfruit payasam with coconut pieces, Cashew nuts, Raisins, chopped badam.
