Eggless Wheat Cookies

Whole wheat flour-1 cup
Sugar-1/4 cup+2 tbsp
Unsalted Butter-100g or 1/2 cup(room temperature)
Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
Chopped nuts-1/4 cup
1.In a medium sized bowl ,whisk together whole wheat flour,sugar and salt .Set aside.
2.In another bowl, soften the butter using a spatula.Add vanilla essence to it .
3.Next,add the chopped nuts and mix well with the softened butter.
4.Now add the flour little by little and mix with spatula or hand until a soft dough is formed.
5.Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
6.Make small balls out of the dough and flatten it with the hands.Place the cookies one on a lined baking tray about one inch apart.
7.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges of the cookies start to brown .
8.Allow it to cool down completely.
Baking time varies for each oven.So start checking the cookies from 15 minutes
You can add chopped nuts of your choice.I used only cashew nut.
If you feel that dough is not soft enough,you can add 1-2 tbsp milk to it.
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for 2 weeks.
